Continuation of the Business of Government Following a Major Disruption of Services

WORKING DOCUMENTS YOU WILL NEED:

Step 1:  Review the resolution (document 1).

Step 2:  Review the COOP (document 2).  Share with key employees.

Step 3:  Complete the Succession of Powers form (document 3).  Print out three original copies and sign them.  Place one copy in your file and forward one to the County Administrator and the other to DEM by internal mail.

Step 4:  Prepare a Government Business Worksheet (document 5) for each fundamental /mission function of your office.  These will be used in the next phase to determine priorities and assess resource needs.

Step 5:  Collect employee contact information worksheets.  Information on the worksheets is voluntary.  It would be a good idea to keep a copy of this file off site so it can be used for communication with employees if you can't get to your office files.
